FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a reservation

To ensure that we have availability and can prepare for your booking requirements, a reservation at least one day prior is recommended.
Bookings can be made directly through the reservations platform on our website.

Does my room reservation require a guarantee?

A 50% advance payment on your booking is required to confirm your reservation.

How do I cancel my reservation without a charge?

Please ensure you cancel your booking on time to avoid any charges. Our cancellation terms are as follows:
30 days prior to the arrival - 25% from the total booking value will be deducted from the advance payment.
15 days prior to the arrival - 50% from the total booking value will be deducted from the advance payment.
Within 7 days to the arrival - 100% from the total booking value will be charged.

Are pets allowed?

To ensure the enjoyment of all guests, we do not allow pets at any of our properties.

Do you have a bar at the property?

Palmyrah House is currently the only hotel with a bar onsite. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages to the other properties to enjoy.

Do you offer accommodation that allows wheelchair access?

Palmyrah House offers wheelchair access rooms and easy access to the facilities onsite.
Dendrobium House provides an elevator and is wheelchair accessible.

Do you offer airport shuttle service?

We can help guests to arrange transport to and from the airport with external providers. This service must be booked in advance.

Do you have a Gym Facility?

Palmyrah House has a fully equipped gym onsite.
Our other properties provide a swimming pool or expansive grounds to walk around and discover, a great way to get your steps in.

Can I leave my luggage after my check out?

Yes we can store your luggage in a safe location for up 8 hours following your check out

Can we book a room or must we book the entire villa?

Our properties offer a variety of accommodation options.
Palmyrah House & Dendrobium House offer rooms on an individual basis.
Villa Thuya, The Cavern, 32 Middle Street and Lilypod are hired as an entire villa.

How many rooms are there in each of the properties?

Our room count for each hotel or villa varies as follows:
Palmyrah House has fourteen rooms, made up of four Superior, eight Deluxe and two Suites.
Dendrobium House has six suites, made up of one Master Suite and five Junior Suites.
Lilypod had five rooms made up of three twins and two doubles. Two extra beds are available. The villa must be rented as a whole.
32 Middle Street has three rooms, one Master Double, one triple Mezzanine Room and one Double Mezzanine Room. Two extra beds are available. The villa must be rented as a whole.
Villa Thuya has four rooms, made up of one Double, one Triple, one Twin and one Single room. Two extra beds are available. The villa must be rented as a whole.
The Cavern has three suites, one Master Double with a spare single bed, one Double and one Twin.

Do you provide driver accommodation?

Driver accommodation is available at The Cavern and Palmyrah House.
For all other properties, our reservations team can recommend suitable accommodation close by.

Do you have any activities & excursions available at the property?

Yes, every property has a choice of internal facilities and excursions to enhance your stay. Refer to the EXPLORE and EXPERIENCE pages on our property sites to discover what is on offer.

When is flamingo season at Palmyrah House, Mannar?

The migration of flamingos through Mannar usually takes place between October and March each year. The flocks do move around the Mannar region but our naturalist is on site to provide advice on where best to spot these beautiful creatures.

Do the properties have a minimum night stay?

The Cavern has a two night minimum stay, other properties can be booked for a stay as long as you wish.
